Kuala Lumpur Walking Tour

Magical Kampung Baru

Kampung Baru (New Village), is a Malay traditional village within the city of Kuala Lumpur. It is just a stone’s throw away from the majestic Petronas Twin Towers.

It was set up by the British via a Royal Decree by the Selangor King back in 1899 to ensure the Malays reside within the city centre. A stroll a long Kampung Baru will give a glimpse of a typical Malay Village and its day to day activities.

Over in Kampung Baru we shall have the opportunity to explore the various attractions such as the traditional houses, day to day activities, sample food and titbits, explore the wet market and capture memorable images in this traditional village surrounded by skyscrapers.

Walking and using the train system to reach destination. Please wear comfortable shoes and attire. You may consider bringing along a cap/hat.
