Kuala Lumpur Walking Tour

Magical Kampung Baru

Kampung Baru (New Village), is a Malay traditional village within the city of Kuala Lumpur. It is just a stone’s throw away from the majestic Petronas Twin Towers.

It was set up by the British via a Royal Decree by the Selangor King back in 1899 to ensure the Malays reside within the city centre. A stroll a long Kampung Baru will give a glimpse of a typical Malay Village and its day to day activities.
